THE BIRTHDAY PARTY
Written By: Diana Tu & Kristy Yeung
One day, there was a little boy called Ichabod.
He had one mom, one dad, six aunts, and uncles, four
grandparents, one godmother for Ichabod, and sixteen cousins.
They came all together at Ichabod’s house (a twenty-seven
roomed house with an enormous backyard). In the backyard,
there was a garden for Ichabod’s mom. The rest of the backyard
was a swimming pool for the whole family.
On Ichabod’s birthday, he
invited his four grandparents, his six aunts and uncles, his
godmother, and his sixteen cousins. The party started at
1:00pm sharp. Everybody went there before 1:00 while Ichabod
and his parents were setting up. Ichabod and his parents got
mad at them because they didn’t come at 1:00pm sharp as the
invitation said. They said sorry and waited for them to
finish. When Ichabod and his parents finished it, it looked
like they were in another place, because they decorated it so
well.
Because the party lasted
until 8:00pm, Ichabod was very tired. Everyone snuck up behind
him and shouted, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” very loud and he was
shocked. Ichabod hugged everybody for coming. Ichabod waited
until they all left. Ichabod faced his parents and said
goodnight. They all slept with a smile. Everybody thought that
it was the best birthday ever.
